Jalapeño Salsa

The fresh heat of jalapeños shines in this recipe, keeping that just-picked flavor while delivering a big kick. The consistency is that of salsa-meets-hot-sauce, and makes a wonderful addition on steaks, tenderloins, or on tacos.

It is definitely spicy, since it consists almost entirely of raw jalapeños, so if you don’t like the natural heat of jalapeño peppers, this recipe is not for you! If that heat is just right, give this super easy recipe a try!

10-12 fresh jalapeños, stems removed (you don’t need to de-seed them)
2 green tomatoes (use only 1 if your tomato is very large)
3/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup water
1/2 tbl. kosher salt

Add all ingredients to a blender, and mix well. Jar, and allow to sit overnight in the refrigerator before using.
